Radio Scanners
Radio Scanners
Radio waves from television channels, AM and FM radio stations, and cell phone calls fill up the air. At this very moment, these “invisible” and intangible” radio waves containing different kinds of signals, broadcasts, and conversations from many people are zipping past you. While it appears as if we cannot totally decode them, there is actually a very affordable (and portable) electronic device that could give us the capacity to tap those seemingly “godly” signals, and be able to listen to other people's conversations. You can start listening to public airwaves by using Radio Scanners.
Radio Scanners are radio receivers that can automatically scan and tune multiple discrete frequencies. Radio Scanners basically work with three modes: the Scan mode, the Manual Scan, and the Search mode.
When a Radio Scanner is working under the Scan Mode, its receiver will continually search for frequencies only to stop when it finds a “perfect signal” on one of them. When the initial transmission ceases, the receiver will then resume with its search for another frequency with an on-going transmission.
Under the Manual Scan Mode, you will be the one to manually dial the location of a pre-programmed frequency. Remember that you can only listen to frequencies, one at a time.
When you activate your Radio Scanner's Search Mode, its receiver will search for frequencies within a given area or “band.” This mode is usually activated by users who doesn't know any certain frequency in a given area.
